Parent & Teachers Association (PTA)
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to help Sunnyhills School achieve its goals through fundraising and providing services and support to the community, focusing always on the wellbeing of our children and having fun along the way.
MAKE A Difference
Come along to a PTA meeting and join us today as a PTA Member. We love new ideas so any suggestions are welcome. However much time you have available we appreciate what you are able to offer.
The PTA makes a significant contribution to increasing resources and facilities available at the school.
We are always looking for ways of raising money so come and share your ideas with us.
Who are we?
We're a friendly group of volunteer and caregivers who support our kids, school and families through fundraising efforts and other community services.
Why should I join?
Because YOU are an integral part of the Sunnyhills community and our school needs your support and input to make a difference for our children! The PTA fundraise so that we can further enhance our children’s learning and education.
What does it mean to be a PTA member?
All parents are warmly invited to attend monthly meetings which are held during term times in the school staff room (entry is to the side of the office). Meetings are informative with parents, the principal or deputy principal, a Board of Trustees member and teacher representative attending.
Parents are encouraged to be involved with PTA subcommittees. Subcommittees are team of parents who plan and organise specific fundraising and community events.
There are opportunities for parents to help and support our many events, so if you aren’t able to make regular meetings but would like to help out we welcome you to become a “Friend of the Committee” where you will be asked to help with events like Family Picnic, Discos, Father’s Day Breakfast, Huff ‘n Puff.
We’d love you to join us today
