At Sunnyhills School, we believe in "Learning for Life". This means fostering independence, curiosity, and critical thinking in our students. • Term 1: Wednesday 31 January - Friday 12 April (Holidays: Tuesday 6 Feb, Good Friday 29 March, Easter Monday 1 April & Tuesday 2 April)

• Term 2: Monday 29 April - Friday 5 July (Holidays: Monday 3 June - King's Birthday, Friday 28 June - Matariki)

• Term 3: Monday 22 July - Friday 27 September (No holidays during Term 3)

• Term 4: Monday 14 October - Wednesday 18 December (Students released at 12.30 pm) (Holidays: Monday 28 October - Labour Day)

Sunnyhills School values the arts, sports, and culture. We offer a diverse range of extracurricular opportunities, including music programmes led by specialist teachers, environmental education programmes, technology programmes and various sports and cultural activities.  

If an activity requires students to opt in or try out to be part of the team the try outs and meeting times will be listed in the Kauri and/or Koru Whanau notices.  Links to the notices Google Documents are in the @schoolapp and on each year group site.  Year 3-6 students can also access the notices from their Sunnyhills accounts.

Yes, Sunnyhills School uses the @School app. The app allows parents to:

• View their child's information held by the school

• Report absences

• Access school newsletters and whanau notices

• Download their child's latest school reports

You can download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). You will need a username and password, which you can obtain from the school office once your child has been successfully enrolled at Sunnyhills and has started their first day with us.
