Sunnyhills School is proud to be one of Aucklandโs leading primary schools, offering an exceptional International Student Programme that welcomes both long-term (10 weeks or more) and short-term (minimum 4 weeks) enrolments.
Our programme is designed to provide international students with a rich and authentic New Zealand education, delivered in a caring, inclusive, and high-performing school environment. While we warmly welcome both long and short-term students, we encourage long-term enrolments so students can fully immerse themselves in Kiwi culture and make the most of their educational journey.

Long-term enrolments are accepted at any time during the school year, offering students the opportunity to be fully integrated into classroom learning, school events, and extracurricular activities for a truly memorable New Zealand experience.ย

Our short-term programme is highly sought after and carefully crafted to ensure every student receives a personalised and impactful experience. We limit enrolments to 30โ35 students each year to maintain small numbers of international students in each class and ensure individual care and attention.
With over 100 applications received annually, selection is competitive. Successful applicants demonstrate strong academic achievement, excellent work habits, and positive behaviour. A recent school report in English is required for all applicants.

Full integration into a local classroom alongside New Zealand domestic students
Specialised English language support

Engaging specialist classes in Music, Technology, and Environmental Studies
Important to Note:
Short-term enrolments are not accepted in February
Minimum enrolment duration for the short-term programme is 4 weeks
All applications must include a school report in English
